The French fashion house has tailored exclusive suits for the London football club.

Presently placed on the top of the English Premier League, Arsenal has been offered an added lift prior to the soccer match this Saturday against Southampton with an exquisite brand new club suit tailored by Lanvin, a first for both the football team and the Parisian brand name.

Created by Lanvin Homme designer Lucas Ossendrijver, the midnight blue suits feature a small-scale gold Arsenal team logo on the lapel and are donned with white poplin shirts together with a solid red tie. Fashion accessories include things like black Lanvin derby shoes, a matching belt, and Arsenal-imprinted cuff links.

"We are pleased to welcome Lanvin to the Club as our official designer," announced Vinai Venkatesham, the soccer club’s marketing and sales director. "The fashion house has an exceptional history and proud heritage, and it is an institution in its line of business having opened in 1889, no more than 3 years after Arsenal played its first game. The suits are a vintage design and style, and will give players and the club staff a unified and classy visual appearance".

Earlier this month Italian label Versace revealed smart off-field variations for Spanish giants Real Madrid. Plus the soccer and fashion tie-ins are a popular trend: Arsenal's domestic rivals Man Utd have their tailoring given by Paul Smith, while back in Italy it is Dolce & Gabbana who outfit AC Milan.
